Michele Scotto has been a karate athlete for most of his “Italian” life – Italian, European and World Champion for the famed Fiamme Oro Italian sports team. As a natural career flow, Michele became a trainer for the karate Fiamme Oro team, bringing many athletes to compete at world championships and win gold medals. However, towards the beginning of the new century, Michele shifted career and started working in marketing for a prestigious boutique Italian shoe label, Guillaume Hinfray.
Upon his move to the US, Michele launched the Italian Living Umbria showroom at the Pacific Design Center where he managed the day to day operation of a showplace representing over 40 Italian manufacturers and design firms and managing client accounts. After an interlude as account manager for Montanari Group, he now happily represents Wood-Concepts to the Los Angeles community of architects and designers. “I went from chopping wood as a karate athlete to selling it as a rep – I guess wood was my destiny…”
